For the upcoming Junior Prom, Barbie® doll chose a glorious bright red full-length chiffon gown lined in red silk. The scoop neck bodice melted into a voluminous skirt with self-ruffle hem. A floral appliqué trimmed the waist. (The chiffon in the dress is often found frayed in used dresses. ) The white rabbit stole had a white satin lining and did not have the Barbie label. Accessories included long white tricot gloves, a single "pearl" on a chain, and red open-toe shoes. There were also variations produced of the applique at waist including satin flowers.
