Since 2013, except 2021, due to the pandemic, a group of members of the official Barbie club in Spain: “Fashion Dolls Collectors in Madrid” They annually celebrate the “Madrid Fashion Doll Show” in Madrid, Spain.

The Madrid Fashion Doll Show event

To attend each event of the Madrid Fashion Doll Show you have to register with them and pay the corresponding fee. If you want to participate in their contests, you must meet the requirements, follow the instructions and read the rules that they indicate. Contests at the Madrid Fashion Doll Show conventions

This year's theme is Pink Carpet.

One entry per contestant. Take a photo of your Barbie dressed in Pink Carpet style and in an environment that captures her movie star essence. You must send the photograph before August 15, 2023 to the convention email.

​The creations must be unique for this event, not having participated in other contests, and cannot have been previously shared on social networks. The resolution of the photograph sent must be good enough to print in A4 format.

By participating in the contest, you agree to grant the image rights of your entry for use by the “Coleccionistas de Fashion Dolls en Madrid” club and the “Madrid Fashion Doll Show” convention. Only convention members can participate. If you want to participate in these contests, you must register at the convention.

The contest will be voted by the public and will have a prize!

OOAK Madrid Fashion Doll Show Contest 2023

This year's theme is "Pink Carpet", with the judgment assessing the fit of the work to the theme.

Each contestant only may participate with a doll. Only Barbie dolls repainted, combed and dressed by the contestant will be accepted. Of the three categories, one can be excluded. Whether repainted or styled. If at least two of the three categories are not met, the doll will be disqualified. Only dolls with the Pink Carpet theme will be accepted.

Solidarity project Madrid Fashion Doll Show 2023

The Madrid Fashion Doll Show is going to collaborate again with the animal shelter and sanctuary «El Campito – Saving Furry People». The organizers of the event are involved in the protection of animals and their well-being and believe that this cause is worthwhile.

During the pandemic many animals have suffered abandonment, they have lost their owners and, Shelters like “El Campito – Saving Furry” They are the only hope of finding a new home again. This shelter does necessary work that we want to support. Let's help those who have no voice.

This year they are going to hold an online auction as usual on eBay.​ You can also contribute with any amount, no matter how small.

You can collaborate in various ways:

• If you are OOAK artist you can donate a doll for our different auctions and charity raffles.
• Everything you have related to mannequin dolls that you are no longer interested in (accessories, furniture, dolls) in box, without box, new or used, you can donate it for the charity raffle that will be held in the salesroom of the “Ayre Gran Colón” hotel on September 10. You can deliver your donations during the event registration process

Every year, campaign staff go to the salesroom and are personally in charge of selling the solidarity ballots. No member of the convention has access to the money from the sale of the solidarity ballots since 2014, since the money generated by the sale of the ballots is counted in the same salesroom and is delivered to the staff campaign. This way you can be sure that every Euro raised is correctly allocated to the campaign the event supports.

The 2023 doll auction of the Madrid Fashion Doll Show

The online charity auctions of the Madrid Fashion Doll Show take place every year on the online sales platform Ebay and are only possible thanks to the dolls donated by the designers just for the event. The dolls are inspired by that year's convention, and are always incredible masterpieces made by incredible artists.

Last year, the Eurovision-themed auction closed on January 29 with 5,300 Euros, all thanks to the dolls and the lucky and generous donors who bid on them.

Many animals, injured, abandoned and rescued, will benefit greatly from the money obtained through this auction, in Campito - Salvando Peludos thanks to Barbie fans.
