Transplant
Process of replacing the body of a doll. The wrist head can be removed and joined to the body of another wrist on a 1/6 scale whose design allows it. It is believed that "the soul is in the head of the doll" (without mystical, superstitious or religious associations !!!) and it is the head that determines its "personality." Usually the reason for the transplant is the inactivity or disproportion of the doll itself or its breakage.
Barbie dolls are most frequently transplanted to Obitsu bodies, Dynamite Girls, Barbie Fashionistas economic doll bodies, less frequently Liv, Mz of Integrity Toys, etc. Sometimes, Kens (it is more difficult to find a donor for them) and other Mattel dolls are “transplanted.”
