The Barbie Collection
The Barbie Collection (formerly Barbie Collector) is the name of the line and official website-store, dedicated to collectible Barbie dolls produced by Mattel.
In August 2008, Mattel launched a new official website dedicated to the Barbie doll collections that first appeared on the market in 1988 in the Happy Holidays series.
The website became the final point of contact between the manufacturer and Barbie doll fans, providing the opportunity not only to make purchases in the retail section, but also to communicate with fans on a special forum, the Barbie Fan Club.
After undergoing several stages of redesign, the site finally became known as The Barbie Collection in 2014, gradually acquiring detailed information, some of which was lost since the previous version.
