Fifty Barbie Anniversary
On March 9, 2009, on the occasion of Barbie's 50th anniversary, reissues of the most iconic wrist models were made as well as a multitude of special editions. New York Fashion Week included a parade that showed the wrist with the designs of 50 haute couture designers such as Diane Von Fürstenberg, Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, Bob Mackie or Christian Louboutin. As for Mattel, he organized a party in Los Angeles, with a red carpet included, in a natural -size reproduction of Barbie Malibu's house, to which personalities such as Shakira, Eva Mendes or Jessica Alba attended. Finally, countries such as Japan, Argentina, Mexico, China, France, Italy or Reina Unido also celebrated the fifty years of Barbie with different acts.
