FAQ: More Questions
I usually receive a multitude of questions that are often repeated continuously, in this section I will try to answer all of these questions.
BarbiePedia is not a store, all the services that BarbiePedia offers are at no cost to you.
The dolls and other products that appear in the BarbiePedia catalog may or may not be for sale on different platforms and/or stores, such as Amazon. You can find direct links to some products so that if you wish, you can purchase them. Always make sure before purchasing that it is the same product, because sometimes the content of the links changes and from BarbiePedia it is not possible to analyze product by product continuously because the database is so extensive that it is impossible.
I appreciate that you thought of me to give your dolls a second life. Currently, I do not buy dolls, I only accept doll donations, if you would like your dolls to have a new life and be cared for, I will gladly accept them. Donated dolls will NEVER be sold.
If you want to sell your dolls, I recommend that you visit the Barbie FAQ where I discuss this matter.
BarbiePedia does not make third-party sales, if you want to sell your dolls, I recommend that you visit the Barbie FAQ where I discuss this matter.
There are thousands of Barbie dolls, it is very difficult to identify some of the dolls, for that reason, BarbiePedia has at your disposal the largest database in the Barbie Universe, this database is growing day by day, your doll may not be there today, but it is likely that it will be there in a few days, visit the page regularly to stay up to date.
In order to enter a doll on Barbiepedia, which is currently not there, it is essential that you provide its MPN (SKU) and year of release or production. Without this information I will not be able to enter it. This is the main reason why there are dolls that are not yet available, if I cannot verify their SKU, I cannot upload it and some have controversy, either because they are editions from different countries or because they are errors carried out by people who were wrong at the time, there are even failures by Mattel itself, luckily, Mattel does not usually fail and for its part there are very few.
I receive this question almost daily, I'm sorry but I don't identify more dolls, a while ago I decided to stop doing it, because it requires a lot of time and that time I stopped doing other things, such as the website. But in exchange you have a web page available with countless content to help you identify your dolls. In addition, you also have games at your disposal such as the Quiz Identifier or the Decade Identifier Quiz that will help you train to learn to identify dolls and date them. Apart from these games, you have others such as Memory or the game BP Cardverse that do not require doll knowledge but help you recognize and get to know Barbie dolls by seeing them.
You have asked me this question several times, I always listen to everything you ask me, suggest, etc. And for that reason, I have created the games, the website is now in 2 languages, although it would be necessary for someone to help verify the English translations and correct spelling mistakes, which I can sometimes miss... U.U
The answer to this question is I DON'T KNOW, I don't know if I'm finally going to complete this section, since I have created many other suggestions that have not had the expected result, such as the gallery of images. Creating each section requires many hours, it is not only the programming itself, it is the planning, design, programming, implementation, testing, etc. Furthermore, a market of this type would require moderation and verification, and I currently do not have the time to carry out these tasks, if I receive requests for these tasks and I see it as viable, then I will probably consider this possibility.
Currently, I am developing new sections and games, as the page is now multilingual, the development is slower, patience, new sections and services will appear soon!
If you have more questions, please write to me on social networks at the accounts below and I will try to answer you as soon as possible.
I always try to respond as quickly as possible, usually within 48 hours, but I receive a lot of emails and messages every day.
So while I do my best to pay due attention to each and every message, I tend to give these situations less priority:
- The requested information can be easily found on the web.
- The question is answered in our FAQ. (This same page or the other FAQ)
- The message was rude, inappropriate, or rude. Luckily I don't usually receive this type, if I do, I won't answer.
That said, it is possible that they have not yet had time to investigate your query, or that some malfunction has caused the email or message to be lost.
Please give me a couple of days. If you haven't heard from me after 48 hours, feel free to send me another message.
Thank you for your patience.
