Barbie x Roxy Girl Collection
In summer 2020, Barbie and Roxy Girl will join forces to launch a multitude of clothing and accessories resulting from the merger of both brands.
Since 1959, Barbie has inspired girls to believe they can be anything. From princess to president, from astronaut to zoologist, there isn't a plastic roof that Barbie hasn't broken. Today, she continues to empower girls to imagine everything they can become. For summer 2020, Barbie and Roxy Girl, two ultimate girl power brands, join forces on a vintage throwback collection just in time for some fun in the sun.
From the initial concept, color, design to the model casting and art direction of the campaign, this was a collaboration I am very proud to call my own. I worked closely with the Mattel team to make sure this collection brought both brands together. The main goal was to push for diversity, focus on empowerment, but also tell the story of Roxy's heritage mixed with the story of Mattel. Mixing traditional Roxy florals, funky fun colors that make you think of Barbie, and a vintage Palm Springs feel, this collection is full of fun, swim clothing and accessories.
