Barbie in figures
Despite being more than six decades old, Barbie has been able to adapt to the passage of time and has become an icon of women's fashion and popular culture. Over the years, the doll has chosen to make racial and physical differences visible, in addition to breaking stereotypes about femininity and becoming just another Barbie Independent, capable of carrying out different jobs. - The most expensive Barbie was auctioned for more than 280 thousand euros, whose money was allocated to breast cancer research. The doll wore a black dress and wore a diamond necklace designed by Australian Stefano Canturi.
- The doll has been dressed, during its more than 60 years of history, by more than 150 designers, such as Oscar de la Renta in the ;each of 1980, later with Bob Mackie in 1990 or in 2009 with Christian Louboutin, who designed a collection of shoes for Barbie.
- The networks cannot resist her, Barbie has opened her own YouTube channel where she has 8.3 million subscribers and her Facebook page, with more than 14 million fans.
- Although she has had periods of stagnation, her sales continue to grow. In 2019 they increased by 12% compared to the previous year.
