On the occasion of Barbie's debut of flat feet (and articulated ankle), Mattel collaborated with Sophia Webster, a footwear talent in the United Kingdom, to release a line of shoes for women and girls inspired by the doll and designed by the British.

Within this collection that was named Barbie by Sophia Webster there were 6 pairs of shoes for adult women comprising 2 sneakers, 1 flat sandal and three high heels (including Sophia Webster's inimitable Chiara sandal with her signature butterfly embellished spike heel); and 3 pairs for girls inspired by their corresponding adult versions. It launched on August 27 exclusively for Selfridges London.

In spring 2015, Mattel UK was commissioned to create and produce the special limited edition Barbie doll designed by English fashion and shoe designer Sophia Webster.

Following her design and instructions, Magia2000 created this special limited edition dress and hairstyle, in only 120 pieces. Magia2000 created the most animalistic stretchy gray sweater and pink leather skirt along with her pink bun and hairstyle. Magia also customized the blue butterfly pumps.

The Sophia Webster Barbie doll was sold as an exclusive doll in the Selfridges store in London since September 2015.
