On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Barbie in Spain, the “Barbie Spain special edition Sara Baras” doll was launched at the beginning of the year, which invited girls to trust themselves and pursue their dreams in the same way that Sara did. Part of the profits raised from said doll (of which more than ten thousand units have already been sold) will go to SOS Children's Villages.

Mattel honored the Gaditana with the first OOAK Barbie inspired by a Spanish artist, 2 dolls were made, one for Sara and another for auction, to raise funds for SOS Children's Villages.

The doll wears the iconic red dress that Sara wore in her show “Esencia”, and also includes the outfit with which she revolutionized the world of flamenco when she was the first woman to dance in a pantsuit.

“It has been a wonderful gift, I feel like a girl!” - Sara stated - “This tribute makes me feel very proud as an artist, as a flamenco artist and as a Spaniard. And knowing that we are helping the children of Aldeas Infantiles makes this project even more special.”
