Professional Truck Driver, POLAND - 2019 Barbie Shero

Iwona Blecharczyk turned her passion for traveling in trucks into a way of life and a career. She has been doing what she loves for eight years, sharing her experiences online and above all, she proves that women can fulfill themselves in difficult professions.

Before Iwona Blecharczyk became a Trucking Girl, she was a fashion designer and teacher. Thanks to her extraordinary determination, she proved that woman can be professional truck drivers and break gender stereotypes. Since 2011, Iwona Blecharczyk has traveled hundreds of thousands of kilometers in her truck treading new ground for other female drivers. For years, she has been one of the first women in Poland, and one of a few in Europe, working in specialist transport. She transported the longest sets allowed in Europe, which are up to 54 meters long. Iwona was the first Polish woman to appear on Ice Road Trucking. Iwona is one of the few women to work on oilfields, where she drove a truck with a total weight of approximately 63 tons.

In 2014, Iwona started her YouTube channel and has been reporting on her professional travels and challenges from all over the world. Additionally, she is an ambassador for the Truckers Life Foundation, which popularizes free 24-hour gyms in parking lots, promoting a healthy lifestyle among all drivers.
