This is an updated version of Evening Splendour #961. This ensemble is harder to find than #961 due to the shorter length of time on the market. The fabric in this set was a rich red and gold brocade fashioned into a sheath dress and matching coat. The coat featured a red satin lining and brown fur trim. The hat was a brown fur and "pearl" headband design. Other accessories included a "pearl" necklace and earrings, brown open-toe pumps, a small red velvet clutch lined in white satin with gold bead closure, and a tiny hankie, too!
