Mario Paglino and Gianni Grossi began displaying and selling their creations at Italian doll shows in 2000. Taking the first letters of their first names and the year, they came up with the name of their business — Magia 2000. Their customized dolls quickly became collector favorites. Magia 2000's design of the Film Noir™ Barbie® doll was sparked by their passion for the glamour of Hollywood — particularly the iconic elegance of the legendary screen stars of the 1940's and 1950s. Mario and Gianni infused their design with the timeless dramatic style and the mysterious sensuality that was a hallmark of that era. They drew inspiration from their favorite gowns from classic films. And the hairstyle and face painting are also tributes to the enduring beauty and glamour from this golden era of film. Film Noir™ Barbie® doll wears a pink and black strapless evening gown with lace inset. The big bow and train in back and the slit in front add to the drama. Striking accessories include long white gloves, black fishnet hose, and crystal bracelet, earrings and necklace. Timelessly glamorous. Breathtakingly beautiful. And very Hollywood.
