‘Debutante Gala’ Barbie, his OOAK contribution to the Roma fashion doll convention's charity auction supporting the Italian Red Cross!

The theme of this year’s Roma Fashion Doll Convention is ‘Debutante Gals’ so He took design inspiration from the vintage 1966 Barbie fashion ‘Debutante Ball’ originally designed by @carolsdazzlenvintage and designed his own interpretation of it. 60s inspired but for a gala of today!

@hellogorgeoushair worked on the hair and made that updo do what it do; a 60s inspired loose and undone beehive in shades of ginger with a golden moneypiece. @minhtam_ slayed the face design as per usssssshj, capturing a modern 60s cut crease and spiky bottom lashes. A special thank you to @nc_dollcouture for executing my gown design to absolute unequivocal perfection! Carlyle bought the fabric and sent it to him to construct and sew; soft aqua silk faille overlaid with tulle, organza bows, and a pleated tulle underskirt. He captured everything, the specificity of the bell silhouette with no waist seam, the hemline as it curves from shorter in the front to longer in the back, the gradation of bow size.
