The basic black dress made more interesting with the touch of white organdy. The double-breasted, white-buttoned bodice gave way to a big shawl collar of organdy. The full-skirted dress was usually found in faille but it was also made in polished cotton. The big, white picture hat with black velvet hatband framed Barbie® doll's face with flattering softness. Black open-toe pumps completed the ensemble.
